Day Trip to Cambridge

Rather than my usual Sunday sitting on the couch (either in 311 or at home) watching football and generally wasting away, my parents managed to get me up at 7:30 to meet them for breakfast. After eating way too much (surprise, surprise) we took a train to Cambridge, spending the day touring the many colleges affiliated with Cambridge University and admiring the grassy parks of suburban England.

Cambridge seems like a really fun place: huge parks, good food, farmer's markets, and thousands of college kids wandering about. Kinda made me wanna go there for a bit. I am a city boy at heart though, I need my cars and public transportation, none of that biking to get around. Anyway, here are some pictures from the day:

Trinity College. Random fact: apparently students kept taking the scepter from the statue of the King, replacing it with toilet brushes and things like that, so school officials took down the scepter and replaced it with the leg of a chair:

A sign in front of one of the college's gardens...what about motorcycles, cats, tvs, and barbecues?
